The grade 9 student is the son of retired Langford Fire Chief Bob Beckett and will be attending the Royal Bay lacrosse academy this year. He currently plays for the Victoria Titans and Juan de Fuca Whalers.
Beckett spent the day with Victoria Shamrocks Operations Manager, Jason Sperling.

Beckett said the opportunity to learn more about team operations and the business components to the team was exciting.

If I could go into lacrosse for a job later on in life or whenever I could, I would definitely look into that. It would be something I appreciate doing and would be fun. His favourite Shamrocks player currently is Ben McCullough, who was voted most popular player by the fans last season.
While Beckett doesnB次元官网网址檛 know what exactly his future holds when it comes to his days as a lacrosse player, he hopes that heB次元官网网址檒l have a chance to continue playing the sport he loves.

Sperling had a piece of advice for the young lacrosse player.
