Students throughout Sooke school district are taking part in Pink Shirt Day activities promoting compassion and speaking out against bullying.

All through the month of February Savory students have had the chance to win pink shirts and pink bandanas by answering questions about the anti-bullying campaign. Today Savory students will attend a special assembly on bullying, complete with student presentations of original poems and stories on virtues.

Principal Jane Penn said she likes to focus on the acceptance message, more so than anti-bullying.
