Capital Regional District Parks is hosting a guided walk to learn more about owls. The walk, for participants of at least five years of age, takes place on Saturday, Sept. 1 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. A CRD Parks naturalist will conduct the walk and pass along information on these excellent night hunters and their calls.
B次元官网网址淲e have several kinds of owls on Southern Vancouver Island. People are often surprised to learn that half of the owl species native to British Columbia actually hunt during the day,B次元官网网址� said Tracey Ross, co-ordinator of environmental interpretation with CRD Regional Parks.

Those interested in attending should gather at the information kiosk in the parking lot at Mill Hill Park on Atkins Road.
