A rare green wing macaw has been missing from Sooke for a month now but residents are still desperately searching for the bird.
Rufus is a larger red macaw with a large white beak. He went missing from a property in Sooke on Sept. 28 and was last seen on Oct. 15, heading towards the Metchosin/Colwood area.

According to a Facebook post from one of RufusB次元官网网址� searchers, itB次元官网网址檚 not uncommon for a macaw in the wild to travel about 56 kilometers daily in the wild, and searcher believe the bird may be on the West Shore somewhere.

A $5,000 reward has now been offered for RufusB次元官网网址� unharmed return with no questions asked.
He has been a part of a flock of five macaws for the past 15 years B次元官网网址� the baby of the bunch B次元官网网址� and his family is desperate for his return.
