Snow wreaked havoc across the West Shore Tuesday, causing tens of thousands of south Island residents to go without power for much of the day.
Schools in the Sooke School District were closed and emergency crews worked around the clock to repair the damage. Roads were closed across the West Shore with areas such as Skirt Mountain in Langford and Triangle Mountain in Colwood hit especially hard.
