Rug hooking class offered in Metchosin

Crafty workshops held twice a month at community house

The Metchosin Rug Hookers welcome all skill levels from beginner to advanced, every first and third Thursday at the Metchosin Community House.

Rug hooking is a centuries-old craft that involves pulling a strip of yarn or fabric through a backing of burlap or linen to make rugs, wall hangings, pictures, pillows and more.

The sessions run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 4430 Happy Valley Rd. Bring a lunch.

For more information on rug hooking, call Blue Heron Rug Hooking Studio at 250-595-6406.
