What started as a way to engage the community during the pandemic has turned into one of Habitat For Humanity Vancouver Island NorthBԪַs largest fundraising initiatives.
The fifth annual Habitat VIN #BidtoBuild Online Auction, which raises funds to build safe and affordable homes with local families, will officially launch online on June 10 and run until June 19.
BԪַLast year alone, the auction raised an incredible $36,000, thanks to the generosity of our supporters,BԪַ said Stefano Tromba, director of fundraising and communications for Habitat VIN. BԪַThe success of our BԪַBid to BuildBԪַ auction is due solely to the generosity of our local community business owners and individuals who have stepped up. Their participation by donating items and sponsoring our efforts helps our mission to build safe, affordable homes; we are immensely grateful for that support to make this event a success.BԪַ
The initiative, sponsored by Brando Construction, features participants the opportunity to bid on more than 150 items, including WestJet Gift of Flight, BC Lions tickets, luxury experiences, getaways, and much more all generously donated by local businesses and professionals.
BԪַBrando Construction is proud to support Habitat for Humanity. Through fantastic opportunities like the Bid to Build Charity Auction, we can meaningfully contribute to the prosperity of our communities,BԪַ said Brando Construction co-owner Brandon Little.
Proceeds from #BidtoBuild 2024 will support the upfront development costs for HabitatBԪַs upcoming project at 461 Hilchey Rd. in Campbell River and refurbishments for previous Habitat homeownersBԪַ homes, allowing us to assist more families on the Island.
