Fireworks hit the night sky as soon as darkness falls on another Metchosin Halloween.
The firehall is the place to be as the Metchosin Volunteer FirefighterB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Society and the District of Metchosin host the annual Halloween party. Included in the nightB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s festivities are a costume contest, a preschool corner, free hot dogs and juice, a huge bonfire, a haunting hall and of course, the traditional fireworks display.
The largest Halloween bonfire in the West Shore awaits participants Oct. 31, when the haunted house opens at 6:30 p.m. alongside food and refreshments. The costume contest starts at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks start between 8 and 8:30 p.m. at 4450 Happy Valley Rd.
