Bird watchers of all levels are welcome to join CRD Regional Parks guest naturalist Geoffrey Newell on a free guided walk this Saturday (Oct. 11) at WittyB次元官网网址檚 Lagoon Regional Park to learn about native ocean birds.
The group will look for gulls, cormorants, loons, grebes and sea ducks in their winter plumage. A spotting scope will be on hand, but visitors are also encouraged to bring their own binoculars or scope if available.
Participants are asked to meet at the Tower Point parking lot off Olympic View Drive at 9 a.m. Take Metchosin Road to Duke Road East and drive down to Olympic View Drive.
The event is open to adults and children age nine and up. No registration is required. The walk lasts until 11 a.m. For more information, visit crd.bc.ca/parks.
