Coffee, music on tap in Highlands
If youB次元官网网址檙e in need of some fun and a way to warm your bones on a chilly fall evening, stop by the Highlands Music Coffee House.
This monthB次元官网网址檚 event goes Saturday, Nov. 12, with Daniel Cook and the Radiators hitting the stage at 7:30 p.m.
The Victoria-based band is billed as an original West Coast roots group playing a mix of indie-folk, funk and country. Backed by Robert CromwellB次元官网网址檚 subtle and solid grooves on drums and percussion, Ryan RockB次元官网网址檚 funk-driven bass and Roger Plant on lead guitar, singer-songwriter Cook takes the lead on their contagious melodies and original compositions.

Night of Music proves a big success
The Westshore Refugee Sponsorship GroupB次元官网网址檚 recent Night of Music fundraiser brought in almost $4,000 for the cause and was a B次元官网网址渕arvellous successB次元官网网址 in every way, according to organizers.
Hosted Oct. 22 at the Church of the Advent in Colwood, the event filled the venue with community members who enjoyed the eveningB次元官网网址檚 musical programming and were deeply moved by the stories told by two young Syrian men now living in Victoria.
Proceeds from the event will go to help support the Syrian family that the Sponsorship Group is working to relocate to the West Shore.
