Synergy Foundation is seeking ecopreneurs from across B.C. for its 2025 Project Zero Incubator Program.
Project Zero is an initiative of the Victoria-based Synergy Foundation focused on advancing the circular economy through business incubation, acceleration, innovation and education. The incubator program supports early-stage start-ups operating in the circular economy B次元官网网址 a model that eliminates pollution and waste by retaining resources and manufactured goods within the system through innovation, reuse and repair, redistribution, recondition and recycling processes.
B次元官网网址淰ictoriaB次元官网网址檚 newest circular economy start-up, Shellter Bio-Materials Upcycling, would simply have not come to be without the Project Zero Incubator Program. The pace and resources made available throughout the program nucleated an idea, and the diversity and network of professionals brought in helped us grow,B次元官网网址 said Raj Behari, a participant in the 2024 program and founder of Shellter, a venture upcycling oyster shells into bio-fertilizers.
Free to successful applicants, the program is open to organizations based in B.C. planning to develop in the province and operating in a concept stage or making less than $500,000 in revenue.
The eight-month business incubator supports innovators whose solutions lead the way toward a regenerative circular economy. From April to December, successful applicants will develop and polish a business plan and pitch, build a foundation of business fundamentals and entrepreneurial skills, receive one-on-one mentorship, and network with industry experts and fellow entrepreneurs.
Other alumni include Seacork Studio, a bio-based material design studio developing acoustic panels from seaweed; Ocean Legacy Foundation, an international non-profit organization combining innovative technologies and education to transform plastic pollution into economic value; and Zipply Logistics, a Vancouver-based zero-emission delivery company.
Since 2019, the Incubator has supported 80 ventures, creating more than 160 green jobs.
