Andie Mollins, Local Journalism Initiative

Born and raised in Southeast N.B., I spent my childhood building snow forts at my cousins' and sandcastles at the beach. It was in third grade when I first declared myself a writer, but it took another 13 years before I realized a career spent writing was possible.

I studied history and sociology at the University of New Brunswick and completed my degree with a year abroad in the U.K. Finding the courage to follow my dreams, I moved to Halifax to study journalism at the University of King's College after which I joined the Tribune.
