Bass guitarist Herbie Flowers, who played with David Bowie, Elton John, Lou Reed and other music legends in a decades-long career, has died at 86.
The musicianB次元官网网址檚 family confirmed his death on Facebook Saturday.
Flowers was a founding member of the pop group Blue Mink, who later joined the rock band T Rex. He won acclaim for his work with many of the biggest names in U.K. music in the 1970s, giving ReedB次元官网网址檚 B次元官网网址淲alk On The Wild Side,B次元官网网址 from the 1972 B次元官网网址淭ransformerB次元官网网址 album, its recognizable twinned bassline.
He also played bass for BowieB次元官网网址檚 B次元官网网址淪pace Oddity,B次元官网网址 Bryan FerryB次元官网网址檚 B次元官网网址淭he Bride Stripped Bare,B次元官网网址 and Paul McCartneyB次元官网网址檚 B次元官网网址淕ive My Regards To Broad Street,B次元官网网址 and featured in two of JohnB次元官网网址檚 early B次元官网网址70s albums, among many others.

Flowers also founded the instrumental rock band Sky in the late 1970s, releasing seven albums.
