A Vancouver man got quite scare on Sunday as he skied between a mother bear and her cubs in Whistler.
B次元官网网址淚 was just skiing alone enjoying a nice sunny afternoonB次元官网网址� I saw something on the run and thought B次元官网网址極h, thereB次元官网网址檚 a bear there,B次元官网网址橞次元官网网址� Jamie Stein told Black Press Media Monday.
Stein was on his last run of the day, heading toward the Crystal Ridge Express chairlift, when he saw the animal.
He stopped, figuring heB次元官网网址檇 give the bear a chance to cross the run undisturbed and maybe get a video clip for his kids.
B次元官网网址淏ut when I started to ski by, I realized it had a really tiny cub with i, so I just tried to stay to one side,B次元官网网址� he said.
B次元官网网址淭he bear kind of took three or four steps towards me and I thought, B次元官网网址業 donB次元官网网址檛 blame it, I would too.B次元官网网址橞次元官网网址�
But when Stein stopped downhill of the bear, he realized why it had started to advance.
B次元官网网址淭here was a second cub on the other side of the run, so IB次元官网网址檇 actually skied between the mama bear and the other cub.B次元官网网址�
As a frequent Whistler hiker whoB次元官网网址檚 seen plenty of black bears in the area, Stein said he wasnB次元官网网址檛 too too worried B次元官网网址� only a bit concerned he might fall right in front of the hungry mama bear.
B次元官网网址淚 was just like, B次元官网网址楰eep your skis straight, just let it rip,B次元官网网址橞次元官网网址� and took off.
