Younger Shamocks net weekend wins

Both Jr. and Intermediate squads come up big on the mainland

It was a good Saturday for the Intermediate and Jr. Shamrocks as both came up with wins against their respective Delta Islander opponents.

At the Q Centre, the Intermediate Shamrocks recorded a 16-6 victory Saturday.

The Jr. Shamrocks were on the road Saturday taking on the Delta Islanders and coming away with a 14-11 victory.

SundayB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s game against the Coquitlam Adanacs was not as successful, however. The Jr. B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·˜Rocks got down early and managed just one goal per period, falling by a score of 16-3.

The Adanacs have just one loss B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ to the Shamrocks early in the season. The result leaves the local boys in third place, two points behind Delta and two ahead of New Westminster, which has a game in hand.

The Jr. Shamrocks next play Langley June 27 at 5 p.m.
