There was also a tribute paid to Gino Odjick, the former Vancouver Canuck and member of the Kitigan Zibi First Nation (just outside Maniwaki, Que.), who died on Jan. 15 at the age of 52.

The Wolves downed the Victoria Cougars 6-4 at The Q Centre. The home team broke out to a 3-0 lead in the first period with two power-play goals. The Cougars clawed back to 4-3 in the second, but Westshore held on, scoring an empty netter with 30 seconds left to seal the win.
