Westshore Rebels team president Elise Pastro and fellow Rebels executive Sue Fournier were honoured recently with the Canadian Junior Football LeagueB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Stewart McDonald executive of the year award.
The honour marked a positive finish for the team, which struggled to a 2-8 record on the field in a rebuilding year.
Defensive back Braeden Swatez, who intercepted a national- best seven passes this season, was earlier named a defensive all-Canadian by the CJFL.
The Rebels also won the Dave Cook Most Sportsmanlike team award in the B.C. Football Conference.
