The Victoria Royals have signed 2005-born forward Alex Edwards to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

The 6-foot-one-inch tall, 190-pound 16-year-old currently plays for the Kelowna Chiefs of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, according to a news release. This season, he has played in 24 games earning 12 points from six goals and six assists.

Originally from Grand Forks, he previously played for the Pursuit of Excellence B次元官网网址� now known as the RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna B次元官网网址� U15 prep team of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League.

During the 2019-20 season, he played in 27 games collecting 26 points from 12 goals and 14 assists.

Edwards made his debut with the Royals on Dec. 29 as they took on the Vancouver Giants. Arriving mid-way through the game just hours after he was signed, Edwards earned 26 seconds of ice time near the end of the game.
