ThereB次元官网网址檚 a youth movement afoot with Sooke Celtic that bodes well for the teamB次元官网网址檚 future. Coach Pete McKay said the contributions of three young players, in particular, have made an immediate impact on the soccer team.
Youth team members Joey Adams and Ethan Lecimama, both midfielders, and striker Wyatt Wilson, who train and play with Sooke Celtic, have been B次元官网网址渉ugeB次元官网网址� additions to the team.
B次元官网网址淭hey get better every week and really push the veterans,B次元官网网址� said McKay, in his second year as coach. B次元官网网址淛oey scored in the last game against the best team in the league.B次元官网网址�
With four games remaining and a record of five wins, five losses and two draws in Vancouver Island Soccer League Division 3 play, McKay believes the team can go a long way in the playoffs.

B次元官网网址淭heyB次元官网网址檝e all been mostly one or two-goal games, so we know we can hang with the top teams. ItB次元官网网址檚 a question of a couple of bounces not going our way or weB次元官网网址檇 have a better record. We feel weB次元官网网址檙e a hair away from being a top team. If we can add a couple of good players next year, weB次元官网网址檒l be firing on all cylinders.B次元官网网址�
The team is always looking to develop and improve, stressed McKay, who devotes a lot of time to youth groups because he believes itB次元官网网址檚 important to give back to the sport he loves.
B次元官网网址淢y old coach who everyone calls the Meatgrinder used to say B次元官网网址業f youB次元官网网址檙e young and youB次元官网网址檙e a player, we want you,B次元官网网址橞次元官网网址� he said with a chuckle.
B次元官网网址淲e have a lot of fun and do a lot together outside of the games. We have some guys who have played with Sooke soccer for 30 years.B次元官网网址�
