Saanich race car driver Bill Okell began his celebration of 50 years in auto racing with two victories over the weekend in Atlanta, Ga.

Okell competed in the Sports Car Club of AmericaB次元官网网址檚 American Road Race of Champions, a B次元官网网址榳inner-take-allB次元官网网址� event held at the 2.5-mile Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Braselton, Ga. 

Driving a Mazda Miata for Massachusetts-based Flat-Out Racing, Okell claimed a sprint race win on Nov. 1 and followed up with a GT-Lite class win the next morning.

Okell entered the event as the defending champion, following his previous victory at the championship in 2022.
