The Saanich Lacrosse Association is looking to make the sport more affordable and accessible for families with young children.

The association has opened registrations for its mini-tyke division, offering a discounted rate of $46 for five- and six-year-old players B次元官网网址� the cost of insurance only B次元官网网址� while waiving all other associated fees, said president Andy Stuart.

The not-for-profit sports group aims to enable kids and families in all financial situations to participate.

Creating more accessibility to sport is important for the mental and physical health of kids who, more than ever, need an active outlet and form of socialization, Stuart said.
