Renyard named top Jr. A hockey goalie in the country

Outstanding year in Alberta Jr. A league earns Saanich resident top honours

Former Victoria Grizzlies netminder Nic Renyard was announced last week as winner of the top goaltender award for Canadian junior A hockey, beating out four other national nominees.

Saanich resident Renyard, 20, didnB次元官网网址檛 figure in the GrizzliesB次元官网网址� plans at the beginning of last yearB次元官网网址檚 B.C. Hockey League season. He hooked up with the Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Jr. A league and led the loop in wins (30) and save percentage (.924). He won the AJHLB次元官网网址檚 MVP and top goalie awards and is committed to the University of Massachusetts of the NCAAB次元官网网址檚 Hockey East conference.
