Mother Nature keeps throwing curve balls for the racers at Western Speedway, with SaturdayB次元官网网址檚 Freedom Rent to Own Demo Night completed under a blanket of rain that stayed for nearly all of the night. For the brave individuals who braved the weather, the LORCDO Auto Parts Demo Series still put on an entertaining night of racing.
Tim Bunyan and Colton Brown would start on the front row for the Demo Car and Truck main event, but neither driver would be leading heading into turn one. Jake Matthews would jump into the top spot, and started to pull away from the field, but his lead would be short lived.
On lap seven, Matthews would get tangled up with a lap car, sending him into the mud in turn four, and bringing out the first caution of the evening. Jim Young would inherit the lead for the restart, with son Shawn moving up to second.
Jim Young would jump out to almost a full lap advantage after the restart, and claimed his first main event win since 2015. Shawn Young, Craig Holfeld, Brandon Young, and Patch Knopf rounded out the top five.
The next race at Western Speedway is the Allterra Construction Night at the Races, featuring the Keg Late Model Twin 50B次元官网网址檚, WayneB次元官网网址檚 Trucking Winged Super Sprints, Galaxy Motors Stock Cars, and Island Dwarf Cars.
