Prince George snowboarder Meryeta OB次元官网网址橠ine will not compete at the PyeongChang Olympics after a fall left her concussed.

OB次元官网网址橠ine had been set to compete for Team Canada in the womenB次元官网网址檚 snowboard cross until she fell during practice on Tuesday.

She was evaluated by Team Canada doctors and diagnosed with a concussion.

IB次元官网网址檓 grateful to have the Team Canada medical staff behind me to make the right decision. ItB次元官网网址檚 disappointing to not compete but itB次元官网网址檚 the right call for my health,B次元官网网址 OB次元官网网址橠ine said.

B次元官网网址淎s an athlete youB次元官网网址檙e always going to want to push yourself but itB次元官网网址檚 important to draw the line when needed. IB次元官网网址檓 proud to have made it this far, and youB次元官网网址檒l see me back at the Olympics for Canada and for myself, in four years time.B次元官网网址

SheB次元官网网址檚 not the only snowboarder to have faced injury at the PyengChang Winter Games.

Quebec athlete Laurie Blouin was injured while training for womenB次元官网网址檚 slopestyle but was cleared to compete and won a gold medal.
