Captain Lucas Rumball scored three tries Saturday as Canada defeated Brazil 40-15 to finish third at the four-team La Vila International Rugby Cup.

The 18th-ranked U.S. won the tournament, defeating No. 19 Spain 42-12 later Saturday.
Matthew Oworu, Cole Keith and Andrew Coe also scored tries for Canada, which led 14-10 at the half. Peter Nelson kicked five conversions at El Pantano Stadium.
B次元官网网址淕reat evening for the players,B次元官网网址 said Canada coach Kingsley Jones.
B次元官网网址淧layers talk about Canadian grit, and the most pleasing thing for me was that when we were in the lead with a couple minutes left, we kept Brazil out with a great defensive set,B次元官网网址 he added. B次元官网网址淟earning how to win, thatB次元官网网址檚 one of the biggest things to take away from this. Understanding why we put ourselves in certain positions, like at the start, and how when we play the right way weB次元官网网址檙e able to build momentum and take control of the game.B次元官网网址
Canada opened the tournament with a 42-20 loss to Spain. The U.S. defeated Brazil 48-3.

B次元官网网址淟ast week we were really disappointed,B次元官网网址 said centre Ben LeSage. B次元官网网址淲e took a long look in the mirror, one through 23, especially some of our senior boys who started the match. So I think it was a pleasure to take the field and get an opportunity to right the ship this week.
B次元官网网址淭he first 10 minutes didnB次元官网网址檛 go the exact way we planned it, but we turned it around. We knew if we could stay in the game we could win the physicality. WeB次元官网网址檝e got the fitness. WeB次元官网网址檙e pleased to put in an 80-minute performance and finish on a note to be proud of.B次元官网网址
