Veteran NHL coach Bruce Boudreau will make his international coaching debut as CanadaB次元官网网址檚 bench boss for the upcoming Spengler Cup.
Hockey Canada made the announcement on Friday.
Larry Mitchell and Jeff Tomlinson, both with EHC Kloten in Switzerland, and Jim Playfair, associate coach with the Western Hockey LeagueB次元官网网址檚 Prince George Cougars, were named BoudreauB次元官网网址檚 assistants.
Boudreau, who enjoyed a 15-season coaching career in the NHL with Washington, Anaheim, Minnesota and Vancouver, has not been behind a bench since being fired by the Canucks in January.
He currently serves as a senior adviser for the Ontario Hockey LeagueB次元官网网址檚 Niagara Icedogs.
The Spengler Cup will run from Dec. 26-31 in Davos, Switzerland.
