Football at Belmont secondary school is in full swing this fall.
Both the junior varsity and senior teams are up and ready to compete.
The senior team moved up this year from Tier 2 up to AA league.

The team has already played two games and while they havenB次元官网网址檛 secured a win, they have been tough competitors, Boice said.
The Bulldogs played Pitt Meadows secondary school on Sept. 7 losing a tight one 25-24 and then on Sept. 14 they played against Windsor secondary from North Vancouver with a final score of 42-28.
The game against Pitt Meadows was the Bulldogs first home game of the season and the players were revved up playing with more than 400 spectators in the stands cheering them on.

Some changes have already begun with the teams. Last year the JV team was moved up to the AAA league, but after a tough go and with only three Grade 9 players on the team this year, the team has been moved back down to AA.
B次元官网网址淚 like the high tempo on the team and we have to work for what we want,B次元官网网址� said Grade 9 running back Torin Keoughan. Keoughan hopes other Grade 9s join the team.
B次元官网网址淲e want as many players as we can get,B次元官网网址� said head coach Kevin Harrington.
While the JV team is lacking Grade 9 players the senior team has only a few Grade 12 players this year and mostly compiled of Grade 11 players.
Tyson Morison, Grade 12 left tackle is also hoping to entice more Grade 12s to help the team out this year as well.

Thirty of the 45 Belmont players have been training year-round and Boice said that shows the determination of the players. Players also travelled to a football camp in the U.S to train with American high school football players.
