It's time!!
This Sunday, Nov. 17 is the 111th Grey Cup, being held at Vancouver's BC Place. But before we preview the game, let's see how we got here:
- The underdog Toronto Argonauts beat the Montreal Alouettes in a barn-burner, 30-28. After a seemingly comfy 27-16 lead for the Argos heading into the fourth quarter, the Als comeback attempt came up just short after two missed two-point converts. The biggest news of the game was the injury to Argos quarterback Chad Kelly, who fractured his tibia and fibula in a gruesome injury in the third quarter. All hopes will now rest on backup QB Nick Arbuckle.
- In the western finals, the Winnipeg Bluebombers, as they have done most of the season, dominated the Saskatchewan Roughriders in a 38-22 win. Zach Collaros threw four touchdowns and 301 yards in the victory. Receiver Kenny Lawler caught three of those touchdowns for a monstrous 177 yards on just four receptions. With the win, the Bombers have advanced to their fifth straight Grey Cup!
