I just finished reading the column by guest columnist Rick Stiebel concerning Const. Sarah Beckett (ConstableB次元官网网址檚 passing left a mark on journalist, Gazette April 13). The heartfelt emotion he has poured out on paper is a fitting tribute to Const. Beckett.
I had occasion to talk with Mr. Stiebel in his capacity as a reporter with your paper back in 2002, when the tragic loss of my husband prompted a barrage of news correspondents to practically camp at my doorstep. At that time I only spoke with two reporters, Mr. Stiebel being one of them.
As with the article for Const. Beckett, RickB次元官网网址檚 column pretty much put into words what I could not. He treated me with respect and empathy and I have never forgotten that. IB次元官网网址檓 glad he is writing with you again.
