Re: Delays reopening Wilkinson Road
Ten months to replace a puddle jump bridge B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ how disgusting. Helmcken/Wilkinson roads are a major thoroughfare and especially important considering that the work has started on the McKenzie interchange.
The Interstate 5 Skagit River Bridge collapse in Washington state occurred on May 23, 2013. In June 2013, two temporary bridges were erected and placed on the collapsed spanB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s support columns. In September 2013, the permanent bridges were installed, length 1,112 feet (339 m), width 72 feet (22 m), and four spans.
Is it the weather in Greater Victoria that causes every project to be delayed and/or over budget? Where are the planners and engineers that could execute this project with a modicum of efficiency? Why do we have to put up with this outrage?
