IB次元官网网址檇 like to bring up an idea for which IB次元官网网址檝e received no explanation as to why it was rejected; namely putting the sewage plant on a repurposed oil tanker anchored offshore.
Such a project appears to have many advantages.
Firstly, there would be no nimbyism, as well, no pipelines would have to run through communities to the Hartland landfill, which will eventually reach its capacity.
Waste could be barged to a co-generation plant located in a community starving for industry, like Gold River, or even incinerated onboard. Plus, used oil tankers are relatively cheap and come equipped with storage tanks, pumps etc.
There is a Norwegian company that produced a video extolling the virtues of such a project, which seems to have been rejected by Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps and the vested interests.
The very least I want is an explanation of why such a project is not feasible.
