Kids, water, sports: what could be wrong with that?

I have already heard and seen the naysayers. Sure, Langford Lake is not as large as Elk Lake, but if 1.4 kilometres is enough to get started, why not start a program here?

I do believe Langford Lake is safer than Elk Lake. Who can forget that awful night when two rowers lost their lives in a squall? The proposed program is for kids from five schools, including Belmont and Spencer.

Why not share this community resource? Main use will be a couple of hours after school during spring and autumn. There will be no marked lanes impeding anyone.

LetB次元官网网址檚 make some good memories for kids and who knows, maybe one day there will be an Olympic medal that had its beginnings on Langford Lake. Would that not be neat?

Looking forward to watching them train. And yes, I am one of the lucky people who live on the lake.
