Reader wonders whether religion's capital not souls, but power and the bottom line.

I have long suspected that organized religion is a human-directed business where, in some cases, the real capital is not in souls, but rather power and the bottom line.

I remember the parable where money-lenders were evicted from the temple by the only real prince of the church, then I read the present Pope has a butler B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ while others live in abject poverty.
