This is in regard to the letter, B次元官网网址淧ush for greater density increases need for urgent care in Victoria.B次元官网网址� With all the unwanted densification taking place in Saanich making way for thousands of living units within small areas, just where is the plan for more access to urgent health care? Most of us try to avoid the emergency unit at the hospital with possible wait times of two to 10 (if not longer) hours, limited parking, jam-packed rooms and halls, and staff working hard to keep it all together, but sometimes itB次元官网网址檚 unavoidable.

The mayors and council of our municipalities state that affordable housing is something Greater Victoria needs so they fast-track building. I for one have never known Greater Victoria to be overly affordable, but I have known what it's like to wait in an ER for most of the day and night. How about getting together with the province and planning on building another hospital to help with those thousands of people coming into this area, and also help those of us who have lived here for 60-plus years?

My recent stay at the Royal Jubilee Hospital showed me how desperate the situation is and it's certainly not getting better by itself. Those people work hard under sometimes impossible conditions putting up with challenges that most of us only have nightmares about, and I would like to thank each and every one of them for being there for us! Mayors and councils and the provincial government, remember that you may require urgent care one day or night and you could have made a difference.
