Many thanks to those who make the Strawberry Festival such a safe and enjoyable event.
This past weekend, my wife and I were surprised when we met up with another segment of our growing family in the midst of the crowds.
I took a few minutes to quietly stroll the park and beach area to observe the activities and the people. It was a pleasure to see kids (of all ages) and generations of individuals eating, talking, smiling and perhaps partaking of the strawberries and ice cream.
When we hear of the violence taking place in other parts of the world and the rage that often appears south of the border, we should all be thankful for what we have here. Congratulations to the organizers and volunteers who provide their services.
