LETTER: Rentals shouldnB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t be able to prohibit pets

web1_letterspenpaperc

In response to the dire shortage of affordable housing in British Columbia, as elsewhere, letB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s urge the provincial government to amend the Residential Tenancy Act so that landlords cannot prohibit pets. Ontario already has such a provision in section 14 of its Residential Tenancy Act.

Such a change would both increase housing options for humans and reduce the number of pets surrendered to animal shelters.
