LETTER: Loss of RBCM exhibits a travesty

I am opposed to the dismantling of the third floor of the Royal BC Museum. First, there is no plan for what will replace the present exhibits. What is the cost of leaving it open until we have one? None. Instead, why not have a community-wide discussion of what could go there?

I am opposed to the dismantling of the third floor of the Royal BC Museum. First, there is no plan for what will replace the present exhibits. What is the cost of leaving it open until we have one? None. Instead, why not have a community-wide discussion of what could go there?

Second, the loss of both the Old Town and First Peoples displays is a travesty. A part of our rich culture and history would be gone forever. Reconciliation does not have to destroy to correct. It is not too late for the museum directors to reconsider their decision.
