Being an 80-year-old guy and having to spend $200 out of pocket to prove that I still have the faculties to drive safely annoys me and makes me feel unfairly dealt with. Not because I had to spend the $200 since I have a savings account. However, there are many seniors who are not as fortunate as I am, and ICBCB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s demand for a doctorB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s confirmation of our health condition and capabilities is a hardship.

It is my belief that these costs should be covered by ICBC. I donB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t know whether anyone can imagine the importance of a driverB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s licence to us old guys, and it isnB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t that we disagree with testing at our age. ItB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s just questionable who should pay for the tests?

It would be interesting to determine how much ICBC spends on various PR and promotional undertakings that would probably be better spent on supporting seniors over 80 who are required to be medically tested.
