Was a sign for things to come?

Nearly 70 years ago I left my once beautiful home country that laid in ruins, desperate for peace and a reason for living. North America seemed the right place to be.

Little did I realize that some decades later most frightening parallels would make headlines once again.

Had humanity not learned from history? Extreme right-wingers embrace and endorse Nazi ideologies once again.
