A real affordable housing policy would provide units for 30% of monthly income, here and across the country. This would increase the quality of living and increase spending in the local economy as well as boost tourism.

Jobs are being lost through automation and inflation, and rents rising beyond a reasonable level, causing social problems and decline. Rents should not be linked to the mortgage payment.

Affordable housing could also give folks a chance to start again. This could be just the beginning and help this community to thrive.
