LETTER: Conference cost a virtual waste of taxpayer dollars

Langford Mayor Scott Goodmanson told the Goldstream Gazette that a $23,570 conference was B次元官网网址渁 chance for a new city council to listen to what is working in other communities across Canada.B次元官网网址�

Perhaps a phone call to another municipality or an arranged zoom meeting wouldB次元官网网址檝e been a better option. IB次元官网网址檓 sure that any public official would be more than happy to talk to you, virtually rather than in-person, if you asked.

What the mayor and new council seem to forget is that we all functioned during COVID without meeting in person. Why not use all the virtual tools available to us rather than wasting taxpayersB次元官网网址� money on an unnecessary excursion?
