A few years ago, Island Corridor Foundation came up with an estimate of $20 million to fix the railway tracks, bridges, tressels, etc. from Victoria to Courtenay. That was nonsense, even in those days.
Today, the suggested price for the distance between Victoria and Nanaimo is $42.7 million to do the same maintainance. We have many good examples that our financial experts have always been wrong with the estimates on any project. Regarding the proposal of the train, it has been proven that the service has never been profitable for taxpayers.
LetB次元官网网址檚 all of us have the privilege of making the decision of spending. The answer to that is to have proper census with the taxpayers, and then follow the suggestions of the regular citizens, the people who actually have to watch what their dollar needs to be spent on. Priorities.
