Yet again I saw on the news another politician spouting off the same old argument against an interchange at McKenzie Avenue and the Trans-Canada Highway.
They argued that an interchange would simply move the problem to Tillicum Road. No wonder these politicians canB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t balance a budget B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·” they canB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t do math.
Twice the amount of traffic flows through McKenzie than Tillicum because half of the vehicles turn left to head toward the Pat Bay Highway.
IB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™m not saying there wouldnB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t be a backup at Tillicum, but the problem would be much less there than it currently is at McKenzie.
And a great deal of the problem at Tillicum would disappear if Dockyard employees knew they wouldnB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t have to wait at the left turn on Admirals Road.
Maybe the politicians should stand on the corner for a little while and practise counting if they want to be able to count our votes.
