BEEF: The section of Millstream Road beginning at the Western Speedway has a tempting straightaway for speeding but it isnB次元官网网址檛 part of the racetrack. The speed limit is 50 km/h. Your dangerous driving shows a complete lack of respect for people walking, jogging, biking and driving is this area B次元官网网址 it needs to stop.

BOUQUET: Thank you to Colin Magee of the Greater Victoria Pipe Band for drumming outside VeteranB次元官网网址檚 Memorial Lodge at Broadmead in Scottish attire. He made our dadB次元官网网址檚 day and brightened up his face the most weB次元官网网址檝e seen since this pandemic started.

BEEF: To the City of Colwood who demolished a small community trail next to the bus stop along Ocean Boulevard this week. It was a safe spot for kids, elders, and anyone walking. Now there is no path and people are pushed back onto the street to dodge speeding cars. Toddlers versus trucks? Bad news. Bring back the safe trail!

BOUQUET: A BIG BIG Bouquet to the cashier at Glenwood Meats over the weekend at the drive -thru window. Very professional, friendly and patient considering the line up and the rain on Saturday. Great job Glenwood Meats and your staff. Best butcher on the Island!

BOUQUET: To the sweet couple walking on the galloping goose by VGH when my little kicked her ball too far and you took the time to do some fancy footwork, entertain her and pass the ball back to her with a perfect smile!

BEEF & BOUQUET: To the beautiful peacocks that decided to travel from RRU into our neighbourhood over the last week. You are beautifulB次元官网网址UT keep the noise down!

BOUQUET: To all the wonderful parents celebrating birthday parties from a distance. I drove down Dressler on Sunday and the parents and kids that took the time to decorate their vehicles and cheer on the Birthday girl/boy was heartwarming!

BEEF: What happened to common sense and dog owners. As a dog owner, I find it really frustrating that it is hard for people to pick up their dog sh**.

BOUQUET: A Bunch of flowersB次元官网网址..buckets and buckets of them to the Goldstream food bank and all the volunteers that help me and my family. One day I will be able to pay it forward because of what you do for me.

BOUQUET: I want to express my thanks and appreciation to the two B.C. Ferry employees who were so kind to my friend, who was returning home to Saltspring Island last Friday after having three stents placed in the arteries to her heart. It was a harrowing anxiety-producing experience that had so many events occur that increased her anxiety but led up to the last straw of not having the medical document filled out correctly when she reached the ticket window. The person working at the booth took the form and made the telephone call to get the required authorization after my friend had burst into tears over this final difficulty. Her kindness and willingness to sort the problem out was uplifting to my friend after what she had been through, and to me hearing about it. That is not all, when she got on the ferry another employee approached her saying he had heard that she was having a rough time and would she like a cup of tea. It was like a balm for her soul to be offered this comforting gesture. Thank you to these wonderful employees, amid all the fears of the COVID-19 virus for taking the time to care about someone with another problem.

BOUQUET: Huge Bouquets to the person or persons who set out Fairy doors & windows in some of the trees along a trail at Look Out Lake Park in Colwood

Sooooo Pretty.

Thank you

BOUQUET: A huge bouquet to the late-night admitting nurse who was not only patient and reassuring when I showed up at Vic General Emerg with a painful foot, but also went beyond duty to help us with the dead battery in our car. All staff members who saw me were not just efficient, but kindness itself.

BOUQUET: A huge shout-out to the GerhardB次元官网网址檚 for giving the use of their B&B to frontline workers at no charge. And also to the other people for offering to pay for the use.
