BOUQUET: Thank you to the groups of cyclists that ride single file, making it easier for me to get by you, especially on the narrow winding roads with no bike lakes. This was originally written as a beef to those that ride two or three across so they can talk to each other, forcing me to drive in the oncoming lane to go around, risking my family and others. So ask yourself which category you fall into and take the bouquet or the beef as you see fit.

BEEF: To the people that left a dirty diaper shoved under a beach log at Esquimalt Lagoon. Really? When there was a garbage can five steps away? My dog stinks of your baby!

BEEF: Shame on a local pub (no names mentioned) B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·¦ a nine-ounce glass of Mark West Pinot Noir is $19.50 and yet a bottle in the BC Liquor store costs $16.99. Ouch!! With increased pricing and smaller portions, you wonB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t get my business anymore.

BOUQUET: I have a Bouquet for the person that turned my wallet in at the Superstore front desk last Saturday, July 18 when I left it in the cart and drove all the way home before I realized it. My husband and I shop for our family and my parents (due to COVID) on Saturdays, and last weekend a family emergency had left me distracted. I emptied the groceries into my van and totally forgot my wallet, which had my parentsB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™ money, my birthday money, credit cards, bank cards, my kidsB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™ care cards, my licence, etc. A shout out to the person, as everything was still in my wallet, I was so happy and pleased. Thank you so much!

BOUQUET: Kudos to the wonderful Langford, Colwood, Esquimalt and View Royal Fire Rescue involved in the Mill Hill Fire last week, July 21. This could have been much, much worse. Thank you for all your hard work and diligence, we appreciate you!

BOUQUET: Thank you to my wonderful mom and two sisters for working three days on my front yard to pack cedar mulch up rough terrain to my flower beds. I never did it because of all the stairs and rock, and you all came in and worked hard to make it look beautiful B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·¦ Thank you Mama, Bubs and Nessie B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·¦ LOL!

BEEF: To all those that donB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t believe COVID 19 can make a hard comeback on the Island if we donB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t social distance, and stay to smaller groups. We donB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t want to be implementing more restrictions or going backwards!

BEEF: Is it just me or is Langford the only municipality NOT to have yard waste bins for each resident with curbside pickup? I know Saanich and View Royal have them. Also those municipalities have garbage pickup included as part of their taxes. Langford does not. Langford is often mentioned regarding having low property taxes, but compare apples to apples with services provided and it might open your eyes.

BOUQUET: To my neighbour for cutting my grass and pulling weeds. I am unable to stay out too long in the heat and you made my yard look beautiful. Thank you!

BEEF: SLOW DOWN B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ On Sunday evening you were racing your car up Metchosin Road. This is a neighbourhood, not a race track. There are humans, pets and small baby animals in the area.
