BEEF: To those drivers who use Millstream Road in the Highlands as their own personal racetrack. People live here. We walk with our children on this road. There are animals everywhere. For your own safety and ours please slow down. There are just too many completely unnecessary accidents.
BOUQUET: A big Bouquet to Doug, owner of Westshore Vacuums. He went above and beyond to repair and find parts for a Miele and adapt a floor brush to my Dyson. A very grateful customer for his exceptional service.
BOUQUET: Kudos to London Drugs in Colwood for reinstating its recycling program, taking beverage containers, soft plastic, foam packaging, and a variety of other items if purchased at London Drugs (electronics, small appliances, batteries, light bulbs etc). ItB次元官网网址檚 good to see this corporation not let a pandemic include pollution in its nasty agenda.
BEEF: My beef is the extended closure of Ocean Boulevard in Colwood. A local poll showed 61 per cent want it reopened but City Council wants to study ways to improve usage of the park. It is not a park. It is a beach and council admit that Ocean Boulevard has always been a transportation route. Ocean Boulevard and Milburn/Lagoon are the two major routes out of our small enclave. Nothing should impede our egress from this area. It is our lifeline. No one except residents of this area should have a say on the future of these roads. We happily share the beach already with hikers, dogs, bird watchers, beach lovers, bands and food trucks, but they want more. IB次元官网网址檝e paid taxes here for 35 years and Ocean Boulevard is my route of choice. I moved here because of the ocean and I enjoy it most when coming home and seeing the ocean after rounding the bend.
BEEF: The other day I was walking the Galloping Goose Trail and almost got taken out by a biker. The speed at which these bikers ride the trail is obnoxious. Why is it we have given bikers the right to take over the roads and our trails. I feel like it should be one or the other. Why not use the bike lanes on the roads if you want to go so fast?!
BOUQUET: I would like to submit a big bouquet to the young women working the postal counter at Pharmasave on Millstream. They are the most thoughtful and considerate young women. Twice in the last month I have had to mail off parcel boxes, which is somewhat difficult for me, having only the use of one hand due to reconstructive surgery. I had devised a system whereby using a stool and dolly I could get the box into the car and out. I was going to use the same system to lift a parcel up to scale at post office site. But no, both times they came from behind their protective shield and counter and lifted the box for me. Thank you for going above and beyond your job description. Little things like these acts mean a lot.

BEEF: Why is it that dog owners continue to drop their poop bags in bushes, on trails and by garbage cans? Is it that hard to clean up after your animals?
BEEF: To all the residents who have not chosen to go back to work instead of staying on CERB. There are plenty of jobs out there right now that would help local businesses. Speaking to a friend the other day, his teenage kids are making more on CERB then they were when working. As a parent, I would be kicking my kids a** to go back to work instead of collecting a CERB cheque. What are we teaching our kids if we donB次元官网网址檛 get them back to work?
BOUQUET: To SD62 for doing the best they can in these times and working towards a back-to-school plan. ItB次元官网网址檚 not easy right now and know you are appreciated!
