Here are this weekB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s thank-yous and gripes about happenings in and around our West Shore community:
BOUQUET: A big thank you to the folks at Island Outfitters on the Old Island Highway. I needed to put some backing on a new fly reel and attach the fly line. There are a couple of special knots involved. The folks at Island Outfitters did it for me in no time flat and did not charge me anything, even for the backing material. Great service. Thanks very much.
HUGE BOUQUET: to Josh and Tory at Sunvale Heating who responded to my urgent cry for help when my furnace died on Dec 13. it was freezing cold! I tried several other companies and not one of them could B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·˜squeeze me inB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™. Although Sunvale was also quite booked up they showed up the next afternoon and worked through dinner hour and later to get us some heat back into the house. It is that kind of great service that is so appreciated. Gotta love Sunvale.
BOUQUET: Huge thank you to the City of Langford for the wonderful Christmas light displays all over town, especially Memorial Parkway. Please continue to do this every year. Also the permanent light displays on Station Avenue are so beautiful.
BIG BEEF: to the person who dumped four used disposal diapers on the road on Hockley Avenue in Langford. I guess youB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™re not interested in making the world a better place for your child.
BOUQUET:To the staff at the Juan De Fuca Veterinary Clinic for their care and support for myself and my cat Josie, with her unusual health issue. Thank you again.
BIG BOUQUET: to our wonderful View Royal Fire Department who helped an elderly senior neighbour on her deep-snow-covered hill. IB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™m a great-great grandmother and was shoveling over four hours and getting nowhere. The forecast was for melting snow, and that would have floated my house. Three men and a half hour later and things were done. I love you fellows, many thanks again.
