Here are this weekB次元官网网址檚 thank-yous and gripes about happenings in and around our West Shore community:

BOUQUET: I accidentally left my wallet and phone at Taylor Beach. When I realized my mistake I went and checked but they were gone. I rushed home to see if someone had called my home number but to no avail. Within two minutes Kevin and Daniella showed up at my door. They had found my missing items and drove to my house. They refused to accept a reward. Great people!

BIG BOUQUET: to the Colwood Fire Department for setting up misting stations during the extreme heat wave. All of us (young, old and furry) were able to stay cool on those hot, hot days!

A BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET: for Avery, at La Vie en Rose in Langford, for her understanding, friendliness and amazing customer service.

BOUQUET: I would like to thank the kind lady who let my sister and I borrow a couple of her chairs. It was at the Aug. 7 Music in the Park in Langford. It was such a great show and everyone was having such a great time. To the lovely lady, you made our great day even better.

HUGE BOUQUETS: to the management and staff of Trillium West Shore Village for putting on the fair enjoyed by residents, families, and the public. Fun games, great decorations with excellent food served. Thank you for keeping us safe during the pandemic, as no in-house transmissions were recorded.

BOUQUET: to Langford Petsmart for letting a family know the police had been called for leaving their dog in their truck in 30 degree heat.

BEEF: to the woman who responded she was only going to be gone 10 minutes! Your dog could be dead in 10 minutes. It takes seconds for the car to heat up, even if the window is slightly open. WhatB次元官网网址檚 even more frustrating is that your dog is welcome to come into the store at Petsmart.

BEEF: to the woman in headphones walking two dogs on Cook Street that started yelling at a car trying to exit Balmoral Street on Aug. 15. That corner is really hard to see around so the car has to pull out into the area that a crosswalk would be. You could have taken two steps to your left and walked behind the car like any other normal human. I was down the street and saw your entitled tantrum first hand. Next time try adapting or being more patient, nobody is perfect but nobody needs you policing difficult intersections either.
