Here are this weekB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s thank-yous and gripes about happenings in and around our West Shore community:

BOUQUET: Thanks To The Market on Millstream! Finally, a grocery store in the Western Communities where you can phone in an order and they will deliver it. Many other major stores wonB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t do this, as itB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s online only. That doesnB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t work for the older generation.

BEEF: To all the owners of those large diesel pickups with the mufflers modified and the noisy motorcycles. In this day and age where quiet time is harder to come by, the large decibel noise coming from your trucks and motorcycles is very irritating, to say the least! Why do you need to have such a noisy truck/motorcycle? What is the appeal other than to upset those who are seeking a little peace and quiet?

BOUQUET: I want to thank the gentleman who went and found the first aid and gym team at Royal Roads on July 20, for there unconditional help after I fell of my bike and injured my leg, and waited for the ambulance for two hours. What a great team. Thank you.

A BEEF: goes out to the governments and post-secondary institutions who announced more than $125 million in spending for a Langford campus but failed to spell West Shore correctly. A bouquet to UVic for actually getting it right.

A BIG BOUQUET of sunflowers to the Metchosin Farmers Market. Such a great atmosphere and some amazing vendors. It was my first time there this weekend and just wanted to say thank you for the smiles, great service and great products!

BOUQUET: A shout-out to the road crews by Royal Bay. Every morning on my drive into work you greet me with a smile. Considering how long the road work has been taking place you all are doing a great job getting traffic through safely and efficiently. My family is excited to see the finished product as we watch the progress. Looking good everyone!

BOUQUET: thank you to the gentleman at Fairway Markets this Saturday for helping me to my car with my groceries. Being a senior and in this heat it was so nice that you offered to grab my bags and help me to my car. For the people that say our youth have no manners, I beg to differ. This young gentleman was more than helpful. We have some great young adults on the West Shore and this old lady appreciates you.

BEEF: The Malahat on a weekendB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·¦need I say more.
