BOUQUET: When my son-in-law Tim went out to help my grandson free his truck near Jordan River last week, Tim lost his wallet with several pieces of ID and a substantial amount of cash. After returning later to look for the wallet in the bushy terrain, they gave up. To my surprise a couple days later, I got a knock on my door from a man named Dion asking if this was TimB次元官网网址檚 residence.

To our surprise, Dion had found the wallet. I want to send a huge Bouquet to Dion and let him know how thankful we are, as getting ID replaced especially during these times would have been very stressful. In such a remote area, who would have thought the wallet would have even been found. A Bouquet to Tim as well for rescuing my grandson when he got the truck stuck. Could not have asked for a better turnout and just want Dion from Saanich to know how thankful we are.

BOUQUET: Thank you to all Colwood residents for keeping our municipality clean and family friendly. I recently moved to the Royal Bay area and I am enjoying how friendly and inviting the neighbourhoods are. Most places are well kept and I enjoy going on my walks with my family and hearing the laughter of children and looking at the well-kept gardens. Thank you for welcoming us into the neighbourhood. I look forward to many more years to come.

BEEF: A big loud thundering beef to the construction companies that feel the need to start before 7 a.m.! They are disrespectful to residents in the area with their hammering and thudding around. Go grab a coffee and return when the bylaw states you can start working.

BOUQUET: A Bouquet to the City of Colwood for keeping Ocean Boulevard partially closed during the summer months. As a Colwood resident, I would like this continue. I have learned to appreciate the serenity, the natural beauty, such as the many species of wildlife living in the bird sanctuary, and the many people and their pets who stop to give a greeting or chat while passing by. The food trucks brought my friends together for a bite to eat or an ice cream, along with countless hours of enjoying each otherB次元官网网址檚 company and sometimes even watching the sunset. It brings a real sense of Colwood community encouraging residents to reconnect with the wonderful outdoors. I worry that new developments approved for Royal Bay will increase traffic along the lagoon, which becomes a safety concern for visitors young and old. LetB次元官网网址檚 preserve our precious jewel and protect everyone who visits.

BOUQUET: To the person who paid for my order at the TimB次元官网网址檚 drive thru on Island Highway. Such a lovely surprise; it was my first trip to TimB次元官网网址檚 since the lockdown. Thank you.

BOUQUET: To the Vancouver Island Regional Library for offering the Mango Language Learning App. This is a wonderful free resource. Thank you.

BEEF: What is wrong with this city? I have been living here for more than 20 years, having three doctors. One became a specialist, another retired and one moved. I am now 67 years of age with a medical condition needing a regular doctor but cannot get one.

BOUQUET: A big bouquet to Cole at Fountain Tire in Langford on Jacklin Road. I went in without an appointment and Cole delivered. Within a couple hours I had new tires at a great price and he was so polite and speedy at getting back to me. Thanks Cole for such great customer service!

BEEF: I think itB次元官网网址檚 time to give up on the pipe dream that the long defunct rail system in Victoria will be up and running again. Am I the only one that canB次元官网网址檛 seem to follow along with the song and dance that the Island Corridor Foundation has going on with Vancouver Island? It seems like an awful waste that all the new construction has to make way for a ghost train that will never pass through. I would love to see a beautiful trail that is easily accessible to all, which would take away from the busy Galloping Goose trail that is at capacity.

BOUQUET: A big thankful Bouquet to Hans. After replacing the Gnomes with new ones from us here at Windsor Plywood West Shore to the lady on Walfred, we got a visit from a long time client by the name of Hans Frederickson who volunteers at Premier HorganB次元官网网址檚 office on Jacklin Rd. After reading the story in the Gazette he bought us this beauty to thank us for what we did B次元官网网址 now B次元官网网址淭eddy and SonsB次元官网网址 greets our clients as they enter our store B次元官网网址 suitably distanced of course B次元官网网址 We just wanted to send a huge bouquet to Hans for supporting community and bringing a smile to all our hearts!
